Over the past two years, the global pandemic and its residue has redefined what mental, spiritual and physical wellness means to us. From the lockdown limits that inspired creativity and community through technology to the therapeutic breakthroughs that provided solace amid COVID-19 outbreak, an ongoing wave of war in Europe, racial-political crisis in the Americas, and a tumultuous election cycle in Asia, the future of more accessible and inclusive tools of wellness is looking brighter for this year and those to follow.
Here, a well-executed, thoughtful, conscious and expanding wellness movement primed to aid health, in all its beautiful forms and shapes, and happiness in a new, mega-dynamic year. Enter, the inclusive world of Mindvalley.
To simplify, it is a tool designed by a collective force of some of the greatest minds in the world as we know it. What it does, it shuts down the distractive background noise, allowing you to work on you. I first came across Mindvalley on Instagram. Skeptical, I did my research. The more I dove in, the more I felt closer to it. “That urge to make some changes in your belief system is an apparent sign, in fact, it is a wake up call.” My father’s words reverberated in my head, over and over again. Finally, I surrendered to the calling. To my need for change of perspective.
Mindvalley can be overwhelming. There are so many different courses, all of which are there to help you. When I say help, I mean really help you work on you. The beauty of this platform is that you can tailor a program of courses that fit your life, the life you want to lead. I pondered and immersed myself in browsing through a series of classes. I came across the Astral Projection course by Jade Shaw. I thought to myself, “WOW! We’ve come a long way. This is true evolution”, I said out loud. When you are able to openly talk about Astral Projection and integrate this practice, this skill, into society without being called crazy, that’s when you know we have mentally and spiritually evolved into a more advanced level of thinking, of being. A better form of mankind, in my opinion.
I remember when I was twelve, I would wake up at dawn and find myself sitting on the edge of my bed staring, in awe, of my physical body as it sleeps, while I walked around the house. I thought I was just dreaming. It was like there were two versions of me; the sleeping body and the awake, both in the same room at the same time. It happened again when I was sixteen, this time I found myself in our garden, wandering around. I ran back inside the house, and again, found my body comfortably in bed, sleeping. These series of “dreams”, so I thought, kept happening twice to thrice a year. I told my parents and they too would tell me “they’re just dreams”. So I left it at that, and one day, it stopped. Then came the lucid dreams, as frequent as once a week. Vivid, beautiful dreams, but you’re fully aware you’re in a dream, sometimes I participate, more often I recreate the dream, other times I get too excited that it would wake me up. Was I imagining all this? Perhaps, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t real.
Jade Shaw’s Astral Projection course in Mindvalley is a masterclass that confirmed the world I thought I lost. Not only did it encourage me to understand the power of who I am, it also enhanced—still enhancing as we speak, my ability to see the world from a rather large and beautiful perspective. This course shook the ground of the earth I thought I knew. It catapulted my beliefs like a slingshot from what I was taught in my childhood to who I am now, all the way to who I am becoming.
They say there is no manual that’ll guide you through life. Whoever said that hasn’t come across Mindvalley, yet. I am just about to finish my first course, beyond thrilled to walk a new path. Mindvalley, mind-blown.
